how to i turn a salvaged tittle into a clean tittle?

I bought my 2001 car with a salvage title. It was salvaged due to light damage. It looks and drives better than most of the same cars with clear title's. Is there a way I can get it back to a clear title? I live in Mass. There is no way to get a clear title once it has been salvaged. I have recently had experience with this. My husband is a salesman/finance manager of a car lot.My brother needed a reliable car and didn't have alt of money to get another one,my husband went to auction and found a 2003 Saturn view with forty thousand miles on it,we knew it had a salvaged title but didn't care because the car had been repaired at a Saturn dealership,we co-signed for the loan and three months later he stopped paying it,we repo'd the car and put it in the paper to sell it(he won't sell a car at his dealership with a salvaged title)as an individual you aren't required to inform a buyer that it has a salvaged title even though morally you should,at a dealership you must disclose it and it affects the amount you can charge for it,you will never get book value on a salvaged title car because a buyer will have trouble getting the same money for a car that has been wrecked versus one that wasn't.In less then a week we sold it for four hundred dollars more than we payed for it,had it not had a salvaged title we would have made several thousand dollars over what we payed. In the long run it usually isn't worth the problems that you have when you try to sell it or trade it in. Source(s): a potentialy expensive lesson learned.

Salvage Wrecked Porsche Auction

Salvage Wrecked Porsche Auction Here you will find salvage or damaged Porsche cars. These vehicles are damaged but repairable. Bid on a Porsche that's a salvage title or theft recovered, a collision vehicle, fire damaged vehicle, water damaged car and/or an insurance salvage car. A good selection of Porsche are available online nationwide.
California Law on Salvage Title Autos If your car has been in an accident or was damaged in some way so as the cost to repair it is more than the insurance company is willing to pay then it's like your car or truck will be considered "totaled" and receive a salvage title. If this happens typically the insurance company pays you for your losses and sends you on your way. However, sometimes you may be able to negotiate with your insurance company to buy back the vehicle and keep it yourself to do with what you want. If you decide to keep your salvage car you can rebuild it to make it drivable again, have a mechanic do it for you or sell the car for parts. If you rebuild it you will need to make it street legal again. Make sure you keep every single receipt as you will need it for inspections to prove no stolen parts were used. When the salvage car is ready to go on the road again you will need to apply for a Title of Registration through the DMV (see link below), then you will need to make an appointment with your local DMV office or California Highway Patrol office to have it inspected. You'll need to bring a bill of sale and proof of ownership with you. You will also need to get a Brake and Lights inspection. Check in your area for a certified inspector to do this for you. You may also need to get a smog certificate. After the vehicle passes inspection, you've sent in your application and paid an inspection fee you will receive a new title deemed a Revived Title. If you've purchased a salvage car for parts to rebuild a custom car you will also need to provide all receipts and have the car inspected before it is legal to drive. go to: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/brochures/howto/htvr13.htm for more information on how to reregister a salvage title vehicle. buying salvaged porsches and other cars

Before you start buying up salvage cars it can really help you to know what you’re buying. Cars that have been given a salvage titles are those that he insurance company claims would cost more to repair than it’s worth. The car can then be used for parts in order to salvage, or save it.
These parts are often very undervalued, which is a great for you as someone who wants to rebuild a car using them. You can save hundreds if not thousands of dollars by using salvage parts. It can take some time, but the result will be that you have a great car that you can be proud that you put together.
In order to dive into the world of rebuilding salvage cars you’ll definitely need to find a great place to buy them. Some people spend days or even months searching their local area for a car to rebuild. You might want to save yourself time (and possibly money!) by searching online. You never know what untapped cars are waiting to be discovered for a great price.
Once you have bought the salvage car parts that you need, you can begin to repair and rebuild. This can become a great hobby or even for some a way to make money and will give you a great sense of pride. Use this pride to make sure that what you rebuild is top-notch. Keep in mind that a car that is rebuilt improperly can result in accidents and a failed inspection and it’s a waste of time.

To prevent this, be sure that you know the correct procedure for rebuilding a salvage car. If you’re unsure of what to do, but have fallen in love with a car at a great price you can have a local repair shop do the work for you. Whether you rebuild the car or you get a shop to do it, the car will need to be inspected. Always check with your local DMV before buying to find out what the laws are about putting a salvage title vehicle back on the road.

If you have had the car rebuilt to exact specifications then you can expect the car to pass the inspection with flying colors. No one will ever know that your car was a salvaged car unless you choose to show off your rebuilding talent. It will be a great relief for you that you’ve saved so much money and came out on top with a worthy vehicle.

Finding and buying a Porsche that has been damaged in an accident

Finding and buying a Porsche that has been damaged in an accident and is now for sale can be a great way to get into Porsche ownership at a reasonable cost. Many Porsche enthusiasts are perfectionists and would never consider purchasing a used P-car that has been in an accident, and this obviously opens up a world of opportunities for a smart, knowledgeable buyer.

This is definitely a better idea for someone who is very familiar with fixing and repairing Porsche automobiles and who knows exactly what to look for when examining damaged cars. If you’re not in this category, you should find a knowledgeable auto repair shop and an honest mechanic who wouldn’t mind giving a wrecked Porsche a good going over before you decide to purchase it. This will reduce the chances of you getting in over your head with repair bills.

If you are comfortable with buying a wrecked Porsche that is still damaged, check eBay Motors and online classified ads when you’re ready to look around at cars for sale. Both of these convenient outlets should give you a good selection at the most competitive prices.

Salvaged and wrecked Porsche parts information

Salvaged and wrecked Porsche parts information

So you're looking to buy a damaged or salvaged porsche? Vintage porsche race cars for sale? That's the first step. With more than 350,000 vehicles returned to the road each year after being declared "salvage" there are lots of them on the marketplace to choose from, maybe even a porsche mostra di pittura!

There are several things you need to keep in mind as you learn about the process of finding, inspecting, and purchasing a salvaged or damaged vehicle.

Safety and legality

Safety and legality

The most important consideration is safety. If you find a damaged porsche for sale and the vehicle has suffered severe structural (frame) damage then it may never be safe again, even after extensive and costly repair. Be very careful not to buy a wrecked Porsche with frame damage. When you find the one you are interested in, have a certified professional inspect it fully - you would run a great risk by being cheap here! Even better if you can find someone familliar with Porsches.

Another consideration is legality. You should contact your local department of motor vehicles and inquire about the requirements to get a salvage vehicle registered successfully. This is different from state to state and usually requires an inspection of a predefined list of things. You can get this list from your local DMV, go here to find your local branch. Make sure you also run a history report to make sure you're not dealing with a stolen Porsche.

A vehicle is declared a total-loss and the title is declaired salvage if the cost to repair the car is above a certain number generated by the insurance company. This is usually a certain percentage of the new cost of the car. In the case of a damaged or wrecked porsche this can easily be mostly cosmetic due to the high price of parts from the factory and you can source parts elsewhere usually for much less if you know where to look.
